The caddisfly Larvae are using fine pieces of Garnet to build their cases. These 2 caddisfly larva found some large natural stones to use as the bottom of their case. Brilliant!
This gem reminds me of Malachite and pyrite mixture. It is a beautiful dark green. The caddisfly larvae loved to build with this stone.
The caddisfly larvae have used so many different gems and minerals to build their cases. Quartz was very easy for them to work with and it was great fun being able to see them moving inside the case.
I love this gemstone, I am just not sure of the name. However, The purple and green tones in this gem is amazing. The caddisfly loved working with it and the Malachite bead really sets it off.
These are beautiful designs made by the caddisfly larvae. The red tigers eye and the beads blend well together.
