Welcome to Wildscape!  The  designers of Caddisfly Jewelry

Only in Wheeling WV, will you find such a unique business.  Kathy Kyle Stout has been president of Wildscape Inc. Since 1995 when she and her then husband, Ben Stout III created the business.  Now after 18 years, wildscape is still creating unique jewelry using the cases of the caddisfly larva..  It is a wonderful opportunity to educate people about the importance of our streams and also to show off the beauty of Nature and our little artisans!  You can visit the SMART Centre Market store in Centre Market Wheeling to see a live stream with the Caddisfly larva working right in front of your eyes!

It has been such a gift to work with these incredible insects!  I love watching them each year create one of a kind works of art.

OK, the caddisfly larva have been in the lab for about a month now.  I have been out collecting.. so I do have some new ones that just arrived last week.  It is awsome to watch the changes they go through as they grow and begin to work with the stone substrate.
More pictures are coming!!!!!

Pictures from the SMART Centre Market store. The stream where the caddisfly larva play and build.  The lab in the basement of the store where I raise the majority of the caddisfly larva.  Up to 3000 a year,  and our resident toad "todd" who likes to visit with the kids and eat worms!
